We’re taking a well earned spring break and for our last Priory until the summer we welcome one of our all-time favourite DJs, Derrick Carter, widely acknowledged as one of the best DJs in the world. One of the pinnacles of Chicago house music’s ’90s wave, with innovative productions, flawless technical skills and an effortlessly joyful attitude of rocking a crowd, his influence has infiltrated throughout the spectrum of dance music.
His sets are rooted in house, but he freely travels outside conformative club tastes, seamlessly incorporating old-school disco, soul, jazz, and whatever else catches his fancy to jack the beat and rock the party. Carter has remixed a selection of artists including The Human League, Ricky Martin, Royksopp and DJ Sneak to name a few…. Above all, Derrick is still respected by some as one of the best DJs in the world.
